SUPPORT BU STUDENT WELLBEING ON BU GIVING DAY
Student Wellbeing is a campus-wide initiative to support students’ health and wellbeing during their time at BU. We believe that everyone deserves to feel good and that when students feel better, they perform better - academically, professionally, and interpersonally. We hope to provide our students with skills to further their wellbeing and feel fulfilled each day while navigating the ups and downs of life on campus.
OUR MISSION
Our mission is to foster the holistic wellbeing of our students by providing opportunities and experiences that enhance all dimensions of wellness, while equipping students with the tools to thrive as individuals and community members. Through a collaborative and shared approach to programming and resources, we inspire our students to succeed at BU and beyond.
OUR INITIATIVES
Headspace: Thanks to a generous gift from Seth D. Rosen (Questrom’92) and Libby Rosen (CAS’90), we have been able to offer Headspace, a research-backed app for mindfulness and meditation, to all our students, for free! Donations will ensure we can continue this great offering.
Wellbeing Grants: Our goal is to raise awareness of student wellbeing by promoting campus resources and demonstrating a shared responsibility for student health and wellness. To get campus partners involved in this mission, faculty, staff, and students can apply for a Wellbeing Grant for up to $2K, to lead initiatives that promote student health and wellbeing. Donations will go directly to support our grants for student programming.
Food Pantry: All students need to feel confident that they can have access to nutritious food. Learning and thriving cannot happen when a student is concerned about where their next meal will come from. Thanks to cross-campus efforts and partnerships, BU is proud to offer several resources for our students, including shelf stable pantries on both the Charles River and Medical campuses.
