“Graduating from Boston University’s Metropolitan College with a Master’s Degree in Administration/Project Management was the culmination of an amazing experience and challenging academic journey. In addition to the numerous professional opportunities a BU degree opened up for me, MET made me feel like a part of a thriving and diverse community. It’s for these reasons that I choose to support MET whenever and wherever I can.”

“I’m supporting the student challenge because of the Posse Foundation, which recruits students to go to colleges such as BU on full tuition leadership merit scholarships. By taking part in the student challenge, this is my way of expressing thanks and paying it forward for future Terriers. Students should join me in supporting BU on Giving Day so that we can make BU an even better place for Terriers past, present, and future.”

"We give back to the School of Theology because it gave us so much! We started as students at STH when we were newlyweds from the south, and relocating to Boston felt like a world away. The tragic events of 9/11/2001 occurred just days into our first year of seminary. Our theological education was shaped by STH’s response to this shifting time in US and world events – a response emphasizing the importance of loving engagement across religious and human differences. We continue to give financially to STH because this educative mission is needed as much today as when we were seminarians."

"With 30 years in Admissions and 12 years with the Seminary Singers, we had many opportunities to interact with diverse students representing their cultural traditions and religious backgrounds. BU and the School of Theology continue a long practice of providing financial assistance for tuition and housing, and the School encourages participation through community life organizations, all within the setting of an outstanding university community. We are happy to continue our annual financial contribution to the School of Theology."

"I am so thankful for everything BU did to support me. I think that once we graduate, alumni should continue to contribute to the students of the future. I like to see our society continue to advance, so it's important for me to invest my time and my money in young people."

"I have donated to BU’s College of Engineering since my college graduation.  I’m loyal to BU because it provided me with a strong foundation on which to build my long and fulfilling career in engineering and management.  Gifts to the College have helped to increase the caliber of the faculty, facilities, research, and other opportunities it offers to its students.  Since my graduation, it has been very gratifying for me to see how the philanthropy from alumni has supported BU’s climb within the US News and World Report ranking.  A number of the College of Engineering’s initiatives are of great interest to me including the development of the Bionic Pancreas, investment in the Engineering Product Innovation Center, expansion of the Technology Innovation Scholars Program, and its support of women in engineering."

“I give to the BU Pardee School because I believe in the idea of the Pardee School. That we need a truly 21st century school of global affairs at BU that is dedicated to advancing human progress and making the world a better place; that is committed to the education of problem-solvers, change-agents, and leaders of tomorrow; that will work relentlessly to become a world leader in international affairs and global studies; that proudly proclaims that it is global. Now, more than ever, this is an idea worth believing in. I hope you will give to the BU Pardee School for the same reason.”

- Dean Adil Najam (Pardee School), Pardee School of Global Studies Challenge Sponsor

"As members of the BU Law Alumni Association Executive Committee (EC), our hope is to inspire and lead by example. As graduates of this great law school and members of the Executive Committee, we have a unique opportunity to support our school and raise its performance to even higher standards. We accomplish this through commitment to our objectives and a common vision.  A small group of thoughtful, sincere and committed individuals, the Executive Committee strives for the continuing advancement of an educational institution that has allowed its graduates to have the courage to make difficult decisions, the compassion to listen to the needs of others and the integrity to do what is right in our chosen field.  Please join us on Giving Gay to inspire others to support BU Law and lead by example, so the next generation can learn more, dream more, accomplish more and inspire more. "

"I support BU because I received an amazing education from faculty, staff and my peers who challenged me to look at and interpret the world in new ways. As a scholarship recipient, I believe all students should have that same access to a BU education. BU is also where I met my best friends, had the opportunity to travel the world, and learned what it means to be part of a community."

"I graduated with my MPH in Health Policy and Management in 2008. Part of what drew me to attend SPH was its commitment to using public health strategies to address social justice issues. This is best demonstrated through the work of the SPH faculty, staff, students and alumni. Whether it is LGBT health, HIV prevention and treatment, racial equity, immigration or other contemporary issue—I know that our community is using our public health tools to make the world a better place. I support SPH to help train the next generation of public health professionals who will share in this commitment."
