SUPPORT THE ELIE WIESEL CENTER FOR JEWISH STUDIES ON BU GIVING DAY
The Elie Wiesel Center for Jewish Studies is an academic interdisciplinary center of BU’s College of Arts and Sciences with thirty-one core and affiliated faculty. We are named for Elie Wiesel, the 1986 Nobel Laureate for Peace and a member of the BU faculty for nearly 40 years. Our Center builds on Professor Wiesel’s unique legacy of teaching the Humanities in a Jewish key. Elie Wiesel modeled for us how to make the richness of the Jewish tradition relevant for teaching and research in the Humanities and beyond. We now offer a major in Holocaust, Genocide and Human Rights Studies, as well as a minor in Jewish Studies.
We are creating a fund in memory of Prof. Michael Grodin, MD, a world-renowned specialist in Jewish bioethics, medical ethics during the Holocaust, and several other fields. The fund will go towards supporting students in Holocaust, Genocide and Human Rights Studies, a program he helped create. If you would like your donation to go towards this fund, please note that in the comments box on the donation page. Thank you.
