SUPPORT THE GLOBAL DEVELOPMENT POLICY CENTER ON BU GIVING DAY

The Boston University Global Development Policy (GDP) Center, a policy-oriented research center working to advance financial stability, human well-being and environmental sustainability across the globe, is built upon five pillars: fostering a global development policy community at Boston University, advancing scholarly knowledge of global development policy, engaging in global policy dialogue and strategic communications, supporting student research and experiential learning and building a global support base for such efforts.

At the GDP Center, we recognize that the development process is complex and requires our unique, interdisciplinary approach. To help find solutions to these challenging issues we place a premium on global engagement- generating concrete policy lessons from rigorous research and advancing such lessons into the global discourse. With your support, the GDP Center can build on its first five years of success and continue to broaden both BU’s and the Pardee School’s impact around the world.

During the 2022-23 academic year the Center was more active than ever as it hosted 61 events with other 12,000 attendees, wrote 17 policy briefs, 68 op-eds and invited commentaries, three books, and garnered almost 3,000 media mentions. The Center also supported 48 undergraduate and graduate student research assistants, 20 pre- and post-doctoral fellows, 9 Summer in the Field Fellows, and 7 communications fellows.
