SUPPORT THE CENTER FOR LATIN AMERICAN STUDIES ON BU GIVING DAY

The Center for Latin American Studies contributes to the mission of both Boston University and the Pardee School by promoting a deeper understanding of the languages, cultures, and social complexities of Latin America. Each year the Center offers a rich program of activities ranging from public lectures and panel discussions to author readings, film screenings, concerts, seminars, and round-table discussions. We have also developed a visiting scholars program and promoted concrete interdisciplinary activities between the Social Sciences, the Humanities, and the Medical and Health Sciences. We have engaged with the community at large, establishing ties with consulates and local organizations. Even more important: we have promoted the study of Latin America by awarding research/travel grants to undergraduate and graduate students to conduct research in Latin America.

These activities and others would not be possible without your ongoing input and participation. The sense of community we have established among students and researchers engaged with Latin America has been an inspiration.
