SUPPORT BUA'S ANNUAL FUND ON BU GIVING DAY
As the only high school in New England that is part of a major research university, Boston University Academy (BUA) offers students who love learning both a traditional, caring independent school experience and access to a broad range of university courses. The school’s 234 students are exceptionally curious, capable, and kind. In the 11th and 12th grades, students follow their passions by regularly completing up to 12 courses from Boston University’s undergraduate curriculum. A third of BUA students attend the school with the support of financial aid. The school is uniquely diverse compared to other independent schools: 56% of students identify as people of color and 35% of students speak a language other than English at home. 56% of our graduates last year were admitted to colleges and universities with acceptance rates under 10% and 22% of graduates last year matriculated to Boston University.
The Annual Fund is BUA’s most critical fundraising initiative. It supports the school’s annual operating budget and helps BUA meet its most pressing strategic priorities, such as providing a robust financial aid program. BUA's Annual Fund also supports academics, faculty professional development, student support, visual and performing arts, athletics, student activities, school building and technology upgrades, and more.
